Self-Directed Learning: A Key to Proficiency

Self-directed learning, a core aspect of autonomy, empowers learners to set their goals, choose their learning strategies, and evaluate their progress. When learners have more control over their language journey, they are more motivated and engaged, leading to better language proficiency.

During class, we will use Skill-Trees, from which learners can choose specific grammar points they want to improve on.

The Power of Autonomy in Language Learning

I've never been a fan of traditional language classrooms with one-size-fits-all approaches that often overlook individual differences.

In the realm of language education, autonomy plays a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experience. Learner autonomy refers to the ability and willingness of the learner to take charge of their own learning process. This approach, rooted in scientific research, has shown significant benefits in language learning.

How will we actually apply this in class?

Customized Learning Paths: Catering to Individual Needs

Looking for suitable listening and reading material is often challenging. So, I decided to create comprehensible learning material that is 100% based on the your interests. Instead of generic topics, you can have new input every week that is based on videogames, such as The Witcher and the Sims, or learning more about specific Swiss culture and traditions. Whatever you wish.

This way you can become an automous learner with high instrinsic motivation.

My ultimate goal is to help you to enjoy your language adventure.
